Too bad the beer is so awful . . .

Posted by admin on January 21st, 2008 filed in Uncategorized

I first saw this fine, patriotic beer ad on drunkcyclist a few years ago, but lost it and could not find it again. Today I found it (again via drunkcyclist) on the rather brilliant site “Church of the Big Ring.”
One of my favorites of all time.

See it on YouTube.
You heard it folks: let the [...]

"Bicycle Boxing" arrives in Tucson

Posted by admin on January 21st, 2008 filed in Uncategorized

Posted by admin on January 20th, 2008 filed in Uncategorized

Corey the Bike Courier alerted me to the cargo bike offerings from Bilenky Bikes (Cargo Bike Page), a company that manufactures outrageously beautiful bicycles. Readers of TBL know of my pathological fetish for cargo bikes and so probably are not surprised that I am drooling over these things.
Bilenky Bikes also will cut your steel [...]

Posted by admin on January 15th, 2008 filed in Uncategorized

This sign was put up on St. Mary’s road in front of Jose’s elementary school. I spoke with one of the teachers and she informed me that the school has plans to plant a tree and make a memorial for him.

Posted by admin on January 14th, 2008 filed in Uncategorized

This is a photo of Jose Rincon, the young teen who was killed this weekend.
The driver of the vehicle is in custody, according to this very-painful-to-read article. The bicyclists were not in the road. The motorist drove off the road and hit them from behind.
I think every person convicted of violating [...]
