Last night, Steely Dan, my touring bicycle, was stolen from the front rack outside of the YMCA.  That bicycle was the most valuable thing I owned.  I moved here from Ohio on that bicycle.  It’s not just a bike….it’s my best friend….for gosh sakes the bike is top friend on myspace.  To anyone who races [...]

“The driver is not facing charges”

Posted by Erik on October 22nd, 2008 filed in Uncategorized

Rhino from Urban Seeds sent me this awful news from Phoenix, about a man struck in the bike lane by an SUV. The cyclist was driving some kind of motorized bicycle (full disclosure: I find those things obnoxious) but it seems he had every right to be where he was and every right not [...]

Posted by Erik on October 21st, 2008 filed in imminent death of car-based culture

I just knew something would come along and let me blog about the banking industry.
Emiliano just sent me this story about Bike-Thru Banking at what might be the nation’s only cool bank (so far).

Tucsonbikelawyer and his wonderful assistant Lauren have been kept quite busy these past few weeks defending and representing all you bike-riding scofflaws, misdemeanants, civil-infractors, and crash victims. We’ve been staying late every day and working on weekends, too. So would you all please try to ride a little more carefully in the future? [...]
