¿Mexico D.F., bike friendly city?

I won´t say it isn`t a stretch, but they are trying.  Mexico City`s mayor is apparently a strong advocate for bicyclists.  The city rents bikes for free at the zocalo, and the whole downtown area is saturated with signs like the one above.
Best of all, they close down Reforma Avenue on Sunday mornings for bicycles [...]

Can it be true? NYPD Officer indicted after knocking over bicyclist

Readers of TBL no doubt remember the above YouTube video of the NYPD Officer lunging at and knocking over a bicyclist in a Critical Mass Ride.
Now it appears a grand jury has indicted the officer and he will also face charges for falsifying his police report!
