Allen Johnson Services, tomorrow, Monday, at 10 AM

fatality April 19th, 2009

Jean Gorman has sent this around, but I just got back to my computer so it is late notice. Services for Allen Johnson are tomorrow, and the cycling community is invited.

As you know, Allen was struck and killed several weeks ago while riding his
> bike on Old Spanish Trail. He was an avid cyclist, man of character, and
> a great cop. His family is coming to Tucson for a memorial to be held at
> Pantano Christian Church on Houghton and Old Spanish Trail on Monday,
> April 20th. His supervisor, Sgt. Brad Pelton (who was often on Allen’s
> wheel), is coordinating the service along with Sgt Lee McNitt. Brad was
> hoping to get the cyclists in the community who would like to pay tribute
> to Allen and raise awareness to this and all the tragic accidents
> involving cyclist.

I regret that I have hearings all morning tomorrow and will not be able to attend this. Those of you who can, should consider doing so, and extending your condolences to the family.
