And it was a hit and run. The victim’s name was Kyle Wassenaar. He was 50 years old. The article is here.

He was riding across Mission at West Irvington Place when he was struck by a small red sportscar, which fled the scene.

Our deepest condolences to his friends and family.

We just had a hit and run, too. The details are slightly more ugly than usual.

Ugh. I plan on following this one as it develops.

Kyle was my brother. My sisters, dad and I are heartbroken. He leaves behind many wonderful friends there in Tucson along with one son who lives in Washington. Kyle was a very caring person who would help out anyone who needed it. He was very artistic and talented in wood-carving and drawing. Loved all types of music and keeping busy on home projects – always helping someone fix something. Our family wishes to thank those special friends who were there for him. Please help us find the driver who killed my brother. Accidents do happen but driving off, leaving someone dead in the road, is something that should NEVER happen.
