Bicyclist Fatalities

Uncategorized June 27th, 2008

Erik and I are trying to obtain a comprehensive list of bicyclist fatalities that have occurred in Tucson within the past ten years. All I can find online is this outdated spreadsheet. This information will aide us in expanding the ghostbike campaign. Readers, if any of you come across this information online please inform us. Otherwise we will be working on trying to compile this data ourselves based on police reports.

These are from the past six-plus years and the list is by no means comprehensive (doesn’t even include Lopez), but it may help you fill in some gaps. Some are unidentified because of media failures to follow up. I can post the rest later.

Thanks P.S. You inspired Lauren to submit a public records act request to the Tucson Police Dept. for all the fatalities in the past ten years. Probably she’ll do Pima County Sheriff’s Dept. next.
