Captured Seattle bike thief kills himself

What a strange story. The bike thief the Seattle Police caught through his DNA evidence has committed suicide. I linked to the original Seattle Times story a few days ago.
I normally don’t have a lot of sympathy for bike thieves, but this fellow seemed to be deeply troubled, and of course his inevitable bike theft convictions were hardly worth taking his life over.
