Which streets would we close off?

It is a great idea. San Francisco has been doing it forever in Golden Gate Park and it draws a lot of people.

Golden Gate Park works because the area that is closed off is within the park and is very pretty. There are fairly easy ways for cars to avoid the area, so it isn't too much of a disturbance.

Personally, I think 4th Avenue, probably south of 6th Street, might be a good idea. It isn't the funnest place to drive anyway and there is already lots of pedestrian and bike activity there.
