Dog meets bicycle at Tour de France

For those who haven’t seen it, here’s the video of the dog/bike collision at the Tour de France. Check out that wheel folding!
In case you are nervous about hitting the link, the dog comes out just fine. The bicyclist, well, looks like he does about as well as can be expected. Hat tip to drunkcyclist.com.

It really speaks to the extreme fragility of the ultra-lightweight components. From what I just saw, a “good” wheel should have been able to handle that kind of impact 100% intact.
