Egged on the Tuesday Night Bike Ride

Twice now somebody has thrown eggs at the Tuesday Night Bike Ride.
It takes a certain kind of person to hurl eggs at a group of 300 healthy bike riders, but I guess doing it from a car, as this person does, takes the courage out of it.
If it happens again I would urge whoever the victim happens to be to start yelling so we can find the car, get the plate, ID the driver, and get this idiot off the streets. Don’t keep quiet about it, because people elsewhere in the ride (which these days is so large it generally stretches for several blocks) don’t even know it has happened.

I saw eggs strike the ground on University near First Ave. I have notice in past, the ride has had many blowouts on this same stretch of University from Euclid to 4th Ave. A friend sprung a mystery leak there last Tuesday and I have found myself wondering if someone might be dropping tacks as well…
