Ever seen one of these?

It´s a front-wheel drive recumbent!
Or how about an I-beam bike frame? Seems there a lot of home-built machines here in Mexico.

Has anybody here ever ridden one of these? This is the first recumbent design I’ve seen that I really like! Your CG is centered between full-sized wheels and low, but still high enough so that your neck/head is well above bumper-level and you can see beyond the cars around you. No super-long drivetrain issues, and nearly all of the frame-flexing forces that your legs *and* arms together can impose on this bike are confined through the rigid front triangle, with the rest of the bike simply trailing behind to provide a place to sit / carry cargo. Speaking of which, because pedaling clearance isn’t an issue, you can customize a mount to hold Xtracycle type super saddlebags under the seat that stretch from just behind the front wheel to the back of the rear – at least 18″ high by 36″ long each – but the wheelbase / overall bike length is still kept close to standard without any load having to be cantilevered behind the rear wheel. From the looks of the seating position, these can be quite wide and still not get in the way of putting your feet down at stops. And as a bonus, you can easily reach snacks and other stuff stashed in the front sections of such bags without even having to stop.
This looks like a much better urban-utility bike design than an Xtracycle – I might have to renounce my lifelong aversion to ‘bents and get me one of these.

I’ve owned my cruzbike for 2 years and find it a most pleasurable ride!
