Take a look at the statute, POLICE and FIRE vehicles are exempt from the statute. They are the only ones.... ONLY ONES ! I would gladly ride around a cop parked in a bike lane writing such a ticket. The street in front of an elementary school had a nice wide bike lane. But all the parents picking up their kids were parking in it. I watched as a bicyclist weaved his way in and out of the cars. Here's a radical idea: maybe these parents should make their kids ride their bikes to school using these bike lanes. I was in Scottsdale yesterday.
