“Founders Ride” this Tuesday Night!
Tucson bike lawyer, regrettably, is in Colorado and won’t make the Tuesday Night Bike Ride this week, but you should. The Tuesday Night Community Bike Ride is still going strong after two years and this week many of the founders of the ride will be there to celebrate. I think they are even going to give a speech.
So go say hello! 8 PM at the flagpole at Old Main. Just East of the main gate at University and Park. If you don’t know, the TNCBR is a slow-paced ride through town every Tuesday night. It is attended by hundreds. Come on your coolest bike. Bring a bell. It’s like a cocktail party on bikes, and you should go!

And bring your lights. It’s more fun that way!

Win a bike on Tuesday night at the
Founders ride!!! You read it right…
Coghauler, in an effort to make the
Founders ride a more significant
event, will raffle one of his bikes
from the closet with the proceeds
going to El Grupo Youth Cycling.
El Grupo, if you don’t know, is a
group of jr. high and high school
students coached by Ignacio Rivera
De Rosales learning the various
aspects of the sport of cycling.
And getting some great physical
conditioning in the process with
hill climbing, time-trialing, road
racing, mountain biking, velodroming
and El Touring and I’m so darn proud
of them I could just spit.
So…bring $3.00 for a chance to win
a bike (or $5.00 for 2 chances) and
get these young cyclists some cash to
be able to go to the places they need
to go and some equipment they need to do
it. The bike will be cool…definitely
Tuesday-Night-Community-Bike-Ride worthy.

hey readers- be on the lookout for an olive-green surly longhaul trucker that fits this description that was stolen from zach today:
“I just had my surly touring bike stolen, When it was last seen it had a front and rear rack, leather selle saddle with a slit down the middle, black and white bar wrap, salsa rims on parallax hubs, campy front and rear derailleurs, suntour bar end shifters. it is a 56 cm frame. Almost all the surly stickers are scratched off. If you know where I might find it let me know.” -zach

Bike Polo/Viking/Jeremy did a count with a clicker at two of the choke points last night. He counted 217 riders! And it was an amazing ride.

And $75.00 was raised for El Grupo
from the quick bike raffle before
the ride. Thanks to all who gave
their support!
