Michael McKisson’s Hannukah miracle

Joie de vivre, Yay! December 14th, 2009

If you need something to put a smile on your face on this dreary Monday morning, check out Michael McKisson’s great story on his blog about heading out to Mt. Lemmon with Lance Armstrong and Team Radio Shack.

Thanks for the link to a story that didn’t and couldn’t possibly make the cut over at ADS (no deaths, no infidelity, no UA sports)…

Yeah, I thought it was a blast to see Astana and Shack heading up Lemmon last Weds on their Mtn. bikes. I was headin up to the top to do some sleddin with my son. It kinda of stucked though in trying to explain why all the yelling and hooking. And why some of the guys were jumping off thier bikes in what looked like a pretty good arguement. I decided that it was to early to explain to a three year old about roid rage.

Aw man why does all the cool stuff happen in Tucson the minute I leave!!! I noticed that Tucson has been getting attention all over the place lately…I guess Velo Cult just visited 3 of Tucson’s big framebuilders including Ed…

Sounds like a fun day on the bike Michael! Hooray for being in the right place at the right time.

I gotta admit that personally I was more excited about the Seattle Tim sighting two posts ago….though I’m sure I would have peed my pants a little if Lance Armstrong was ever on my wheel…on purpose…j/k. Actually I’m a huge fan, AYLHSMB!!!

It’s funny to me how many Americans I encounter on a regular basis who think that riding a bicycle = Lance Armstrong. When people find out that I’m into bicycle touring and commuting they say, “Ooooh wow like that guy…what’s his name…Lance Armstrong, right?”…and I’m like, “UUuuhh pretty much no not at all.”
