Monique is a bad ass and you better return her bike
From my friend C, and from my other friend Monique:
Monique’s bike was stolen 3-1-10 outside the art building at the U of A. It’s a spray painted brown track bike with a typewriter sticker on the head tube and a sticker that says “my bike takes me places that school never could” on the chainstay. It has drop bars with brown cork tape and two interrupter style tektro brake levers/brakes and a cane creek threadless headset. A black crankset with I think a 48 tooth black chainring. The rear wheel is a black flip flop fixed free hub on a black mavic cxp33 with I think 17 tooth fixed and free. It has wellgo pedals with metal toe clips and one toestrap is missing. Most of the logos are scratched off of the parts. The saddle is made by serfas and it has an origin 8 seatpost. She built this bike herself and really loves it so we’d be really grateful for any information on it’s whereabouts! Also it can be dropped off at Bicas no questions asked!
Any leads can email me ppbageloas@gmail.com or call me at 520-971-9514
Monique has ridden more miles in Mexico City than I have, and she did it on a cooler bike, and even though she weighs 1/3 or less what you do she can stomp you, so dumbass, you would be smart to return that bike asap. Just sayin.

hey Erik,
Thank you so much for posting this to your site! It means a ton to get the exposure out on how much it is missed and how much b*tt will be kicked, if not returned. Bike thievery is the worrrrst, esp when it’s your daily/only mode of transport. Shux.

Bike thieves and drunk drivers need to be locked in the same room and that room sealed airtight and connected to a diesel truck exhaust pipe :[ After the smoke clears the bodies should be run through a chipper machine and composted so that something useful comes from their worthless hides. Let them fertilize the trees. And I say this as a person who had a bike that was stolen from me, so I might not be the best person to make that judgement. Or on the other hand I might be the very best person to make that judgement, as I understand the loss of getting my sole mode of transportation stolen, as well as having possibly had a conflict with a drunk driver. They never caught the guy that hit me, so I’ll never know why he turned around and came back to hit my bike.

erik’s blog is a big part of the reason i got my bianchi back last year. tony read the blog post about my bike getting stolen and came by ordinary to tell me that he thought he saw someone riding my bike on the aviation path. i sent out my wizard minion and two hours later, my bike was in my hands again. so yeah, the more exposure and people who know about it the better. good luck monique.
