Bicyclist death ruled an accident

Angela Browning’s car, seen here, swerved into the bike riders, killing one

A crash in September that killed a bicyclist in Tijeras Canyon was ruled an accident.

Last fall, Ashely and James Quinn were riding down Old Route 66 when a car slammed into them from behind. James Quinn died in the crash.

Bernalillo County investigators say the driver, Angela Browning, accidentally swerved into the cyclists while trying to avoid oncoming traffic. She was cited for careless driving.
