Obama ride
Tuesday night ride November 5th, 2008
Though the Tuesday Night Bike Ride does not have an expressed political agenda or ideology other than maybe getting more people out of cars and on bikes, it was pretty apparent last night that most riders were elated about Obama’s win. Before and during the ride people were shouting, “Obaaammaaa!!!,” and the culmination of the ride was the election party at Congress. As we were riding through the neighborhoods approaching Reid Park, we received friendly hellos and inquiries from groups of people gathered to watch the election. Cars were giving us friendly honks too. I think that a lot of people thought that we were riding for Obama. It was an exciting night to be out on the bikes.

I hope that bike’s got a chain guard! I’d hate to see our president-elect faceplant due to an un-rolled pant leg.

Yeah, I was about to say that he needed trouser clips. I have an extra pair that’s reflective. Wonder if he’d like to borrow them.

Hey–He’s riding it though… Great “wild” ride tuesday- People were yelling and hooting all over– Congress was awesome!

I would rather keep politics out of this community.
I did not ride this Tuesday; I do not vote.
