Report from Elizabeth
One of the things that is so cool about Tucson is that just a few blocks from my office you can buy a bus ticket all the way to Mexico City. For $160.00. You get on the bus in Tucson and about 36 hours later you get off it in one of the largest cities in the world.
Well, Elizabeth went off and actually did it this week. She reports that she had a somewhat hellish bus ride, but it’s no fault of Mexico’s; she picked up a head cold (probably from me) that emerged about the time she stepped on the bus, and spent the whole ride sick. However, now she is feeling better and enjoying the sights and food in el D.F., as they call it. She’ll be there for several months, learning Spanish and taking a break from bike law.
I am hoping she will post about bicycling and bicycles in Mexico once she gets settled.
