Speak up!
I want to encourage everyone who was at the Community Bike Ride on Tuesday October 23rd to attend the next City Hall meeting which will be held not next week, but the following, Tuesday November 6th. The meeting commences at 6pm. Members of the public are given 3 minutes to speak in front of the Mayor and City Council members. It would be really great to have as many people as possible speak about what they experienced regarding the police presence on the ride.
If you do not feel comfortable speaking there are two other options, please feel free to do one or both:
1. Come along to the meeting as silent support. This way we can show the Mayor and City Council members that this is an issue that a lot of people feel strongly about.
2. Write a letter addressed to Mayor Walkup about your experiences on the ride and post them to this blog. I will collect letters from anyone who cannot make the meeting and distribute them to the Mayor and City Council members.
