Ten months later, warrant issued for stoned motorist who struck and killed cyclist, then went home and took a bath

Uncategorized December 21st, 2007

The wheels of justice are finally turning (albeit very slowly) for Dale Connors, of Madison, Wisconsin. He was hit and killed while riding his bicycle last February, and police are just now getting around to issuing a warrant for the motorist who hit him and felt so bad about it she drove straight home and took a bath. Toxicology reports showed marijuana in her bloodstream.

Note this is a warrant that has been issued; no arrest has occurred. The motorist is not currently in custody, since she was apparently not arrested or even charged with anything after being tracked down and admitting the accident. At least they took the opportunity to test her blood.

Dale Connors died at the scene.

A nice example of passive-voice car-head thinking/reporting: “She also admitted that her SUV was damaged as she was on Femrite passing under the interstate overpass.” That bicyclist damaged my SUV! How could she admit it was damaged without admitting that she struck a human body?

I searched for \’Marijuana Website Hosts\’ in google and found this your post (\’Ten months later, warrant issued for stoned motorist who struck and killed cyclist, then went home and took a bath\’) in search results. Not very relevant result, but still interesting to read.
