That does it. I am moving to Copenhagen.

Ikea now offers free bike trailers for overnight loan to its customers in Denmark.
Realistically, how far are we from doing that in this country?  In centuries?

Man I bet the beer is good in Copenhagen, too.

Erik – at least things are going in the right direction. We have to keep the incremental momentum.
    - continuing to fill in the gaps in the bike routes
    - improving the design and signage of our most used bikeways
    - getting bike racks that meet the city/county standards at all stores
The little things aren’t as sexy, but they make a huge difference in the long run. Then maybe someone like Target might get a few bike trailers :-)

I’m not sure if that would be a profitable investment for a store here even if, as it is in the story, 20% of their customers arrive by bicycle. Any American who is serious about bicycling for transportation would already own a trailer or cargo bike. Think about yourself and everyone you know who rides – would any of us really pass up a good excuse to acquire a nifty new piece-o-kit?
