Whew

Here is a picture of Gaby, my Mexico City guide, on the ice bike. I had to change my departure time to 10 PM, but the bike was finished and I got it on the bus . . . thanks to lots of further help from Gaby! I never could have accomplished this without her.

It cost 1,600 pesos, or about $130.00, to get back to the U.S. with the bike on the bus.

So I am safely home and recovering from 35 hours on the bus. I rode the bike home from the bus station with my luggage on it, and hope to do a few repairs to it soon. Maybe I can persuade Lauren to ride it on the Tuesday Night Bike Ride!

Cool bike! The push-rod brakes are a nice touch. How well does it stop?
